Sweet Potato Toast

Sweet Potato Toast

Raise your hands if you love carbs! If you don't, who are you? And whhhhyyyyyyy!!!!?????

I love me some carbs but not all the bloating etc. Plus I'm gluten free so I have to get a little creative with my carb choices. But don't worry, I know how to get them in ;)

Sweet potatoes are a great healthier carb option because they are a natural produce item (so it doesn't have any of the extra garbage that's usually found in processed breads) and they're LOADED with nutrients.

Sweet potatoes are an excellent beauty food because they are rich in Vitamin A (AKA Beta Carotene). Beta Carotene helps to reduce any dark pigmentation in your skin, like acne scars. I've struggled with pigmentation and incorporated more foods with Vitamin A, like sweet potatoes, and have definitely noticed a difference in my skin! It also helps brighten your skin up. So many benefits!

Here's how you make Sweet Potato Toast (Or you can just watch the video lol):
1. Wash your potatoes
2. Peel your potatoes
3. Slice your potatoes (do you love my direction giving skills???)
4. Pop them in a toaster oven (or microwave if you're like me and just don't have time) Usually takes about 3-4 minutes
5. Add any toppings you would with regular toast!

How many of you open the fridge and start eating whatever finger food you can get your hands on while pondering on what to eat for a meal?

Me too. 

That's why I'm trying to have healthier options that I can easily grab to tie me over while in my state of food limbo. So I bring to you my friends, Gluten Free Energy Balls. 

These tiny, little spheres are jam packed with flavor and energy that will tie you over until your next big meal.  I am allergic to gluten and dairy so these energy balls are perfect when I'm on the go or looking for a late night snack.  Substitute sunflower butter for peanut butter if you're looking for a nut free option.

10 Ways to be Prettier





We all want to feel beautiful and pretty (or at least attractive).  I feel like that's an accurate statement. One of my goals for this blog and channel is for you to learn to LOVE the person staring back at you in the mirror.  Hence my hashtag #Shineyourlight.

In this video, I shared with you my top tips and tricks I do to feel "prettier."  A little disclaimer: I am in no way shape or form telling you that you are not pretty and beautiful just the way you are.  I merely wanted to outline some things I do if I ever want to step it up a notch.
