Who's hungry!? Sometimes healthy eating can be overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be! Start with the basics. Let me share with you what I'd bring for lunch!

*Tuna Salad Wrap - wraps are better low carb options than bread. If you want to amp it up even more - use a romaine lettuce leaf!
*Cucumber Salad - below is the recipe! Choose veggies you like and will actually eat. If you're just starting to eat healthy, you have to EASE yourself into it.
*Blueberries & Watermelon - I love fruit! Quick and easy energy sources.
*Soup - Be sure to find a low sodium option that is as natural as possible.
*Cookies - We're trying to keep our sanity while eating healthy. Eat the damn cookie.

Ridiculously easy Cucumber Salad:
1. Chop cucumbers to your liking (I chop them into baby triangles!)
2. Slice tomatoes into bite-size pieces (I use grape tomatoes)
3. Drizzle olive oil and balsamic glaze (the glaze makes the difference!)
4. Salt & pepper
5. Bon Appetit!

So back to the Liptiful. You basically pretend you're sucking on a pacifier, take the tool off of your lips and POOF! Your lips are two times bigger. Then I line my lips with a darker lip liner. My current favorite is Absolutely It by MAC. Then, for the real magic, pop some light shimmer eye shadow in the center of your lips to make them look extra plump and kissable!

HOW TO DUTCH BRAID YOUR OWN HAIR

Dutch braiding is my favorite kind of braid. I taught myself how to dutch braid before a normal braid. That's how easy it is! I do this braid at least twice a day (when I go to the gym, before bed, and even for work sometimes!)

Have no fear, you can do this beautiful, simple braid too!

THE BASICS:
1. Have completely smooth hair - Brush away that bed head!
2. Section your hair off into a half pony (or wherever you're starting the braid) and separate 3 pieces
3. Take two in your left hand, one in your right, put the furthest one to the left UNDER.
4. Continue to do a normal french braid

**You're basically flipping those pieces to the sky to create an inside out braid.**

How to look TANNER

Shout out to all my porcelain dolls! For the complete inside story on my secret to looking tanner WATCH ----> HOW TO LOOK TANNER

Peep those colors though! First thing's first, you must know what skin tone you have. My Chinese and Irish skin in me gives me yellow and red undertones so if I'm wanting to look tanner, I'm going to wear colors similar to those to bring out my skin tone. (See above picture). If you are of Latino descent, or have gold and green undertones, make sure to wear colors in that same cool tone range to bring it out.

Next up is to wear brighter, lighter colors. This doesn't necessarily mean pastel. Sometimes pastel can have the opposite affect and wash people out (especially naturally fair-skinned people).

Let NEON be your best friend. Honestly, I'm not the biggest fan of neon. I think it can sometimes be too obnoxious for my taste. But, if you watch the video COLORS THAT MAKE YOU LOOK TANNER you'll see me model a bright, almost neon, blue dress. This goes along with wearing brighter, lighter colors. The most important part is for you to wear colors that make you feel amazing and confident.

My final tip I'll post on my blog is to wear WHITE!!! Screw the "no white after labor day" rule. White looks amazing on every skin tone because it is already bright, light, neutral, and neon (in a sense). Because it's lighter than practically every skin tone, it's going to darken your natural skin tone.

First thing's first, when trying out new and different things in the makeup world, you have to remember what it comes down to: it's just makeup! You can put it on and take it off. That's the beauty of it. So don't fear doing things you haven't done before, practice my dear :)

Here are some of the main points to applying false lashes but to get the full scoop and to become an expert ---> WATCH THE VIDEO! The Easiest Way to Apply False Lashes


1. WRAP your falsies around a cylindrical object (pencil, eye liner, etc) to help it become more curved
2. CURL your lashes...but don't go crazy! A slight curve will help the lash sit on top
3. Apply a THIN layer of glue
4. Start with the OUTER corner of your eyelid first. It'll look odd if you align the inner corner first.
5. SQUEEZE the fake lash and your real lash together throughout
6. Apply a thin layer of MASCARA to make them look seamless. You can apply more but you may not be able to reuse the lash if you cannot remove the mascara.
7. Apply EYELINER to the top lash to cover up any glue that may be showing
8. Bat them lashes and make all the boys HOLLA!

All hail King Kylie! Jk, but for realz, can we ignore her stunning beauty and the fact she's only 19 and KILLIN' the makeup scene!?

I don't know about y'all but I'm inspired (and no, it's not because I'm a millennial). She has her own makeup company and she and her family have established so many trends in the makeup world that are here to STAY. (contour/highlight/bronzing).

Pink and black are my favorite colors. So yes, when I saw this look my heart stopped. It's so light and fresh - perfect for spring. And as you can see, despite my tanning efforts, this look will look good on any skin tone. Because, of the lighter and brighter colors, this look is also perfect to make you look more awake.

Raise your hands if you love carbs! If you don't, who are you? And whhhhyyyyyyy!!!!?????

I love me some carbs but not all the bloating etc. Plus I'm gluten free so I have to get a little creative with my carb choices. But don't worry, I know how to get them in ;)

Sweet potatoes are a great healthier carb option because they are a natural produce item (so it doesn't have any of the extra garbage that's usually found in processed breads) and they're LOADED with nutrients.

Sweet potatoes are an excellent beauty food because they are rich in Vitamin A (AKA Beta Carotene). Beta Carotene helps to reduce any dark pigmentation in your skin, like acne scars. I've struggled with pigmentation and incorporated more foods with Vitamin A, like sweet potatoes, and have definitely noticed a difference in my skin! It also helps brighten your skin up. So many benefits!

Here's how you make Sweet Potato Toast (Or you can just watch the video lol):
1. Wash your potatoes
2. Peel your potatoes
3. Slice your potatoes (do you love my direction giving skills???)
4. Pop them in a toaster oven (or microwave if you're like me and just don't have time) Usually takes about 3-4 minutes
5. Add any toppings you would with regular toast!

These tiny, little spheres are jam packed with flavor and energy that will tie you over until your next big meal.  I am allergic to gluten and dairy so these energy balls are perfect when I'm on the go or looking for a late night snack.  Substitute sunflower butter for peanut butter if you're looking for a nut free option.

10 Ways to be Prettier

We all want to feel beautiful and pretty (or at least attractive).  I feel like that's an accurate statement. One of my goals for this blog and channel is for you to learn to LOVE the person staring back at you in the mirror.  Hence my hashtag #Shineyourlight.

In this video, I shared with you my top tips and tricks I do to feel "prettier."  A little disclaimer: I am in no way shape or form telling you that you are not pretty and beautiful just the way you are.  I merely wanted to outline some things I do if I ever want to step it up a notch.

Hello YouTube! Intro & Weirdness

Hi Friends!

Today is a wonderful day because I am FINALLY starting my blog and YouTube channel! (Hooray!) It has seriously been about three years of me having the idea to start this and I can't believe it's all coming together! It's kind of crazy how sometimes you feel like you're not ready to do something or it's not the right time, when in fact, it ends up being the most perfect time possible.

Last year, I made a couple recipe videos on YouTube but I stopped because I wasn't sure how to market myself or what my purpose was. YouTube and blogging kept tugging on my heart strings so I finally stepped out of my comfort zone and worked hard to fully brand myself and become a creator. (Can I get a WOOT WOOT!?)
